SAILING TO THE MOON was Bernie Parry's debut album and one of the final releases in the vinyl era of Free Reed Records – now a much sought-after collector's item. Bernie was Musician In Residence for Pennine Radio during the '80s (produced by Nigel Schofield) and for Radio Tees, and wrote and produced a number of acclaimed radio programmes. After some time out from the music scene, he returned in the late 'nineties with new songs & three new CDs, generating a much overdue revival of interest in the man and his music, and there are now several
versions of his classic Man Of The Earth, including two recordings by Vin Garbutt. This remastered reissue includes the SAILING TO THE MOON album in its original form, plus eight rare & unreleased songs from 1970s. |
